About & help

Built for
live community

Sown TV is a creator platform for people who want to go live, gather a real audience, and build communities that feel local, expressive, safe, and worth coming back to.

Our story

Why Sown TV exists

The internet has plenty of places to post, but live community needs something more human: presence, rhythm, trust, and tools that help creators lead. Sown TV is built around that idea. A creator should be able to start a room, invite people in, set the tone, and grow without needing a complicated stack of disconnected tools.

We call it Sown because communities are grown. You show up, plant your voice, nurture your people, protect the space, and let the work become bigger than one broadcast.

Built for live culture

Sown TV is a live streaming home for music, gaming, talk, worship, learning, sports commentary, events, and everyday community moments.

Rooted in Kenya, open to Africa

The platform is shaped around East African energy: local creators, local language, local discovery, and communities that can grow beyond borders.

Creator-first tools

Creators get a studio for going live, setting room names, managing community rules, tracking gifts, building goals, and preparing for monetization.

Viewers belong too

Fans can discover streams, chat with communities, support creators with gifts, and follow the people whose work makes the platform alive.

Sown TV is a live video platform for creators and communities. It brings streaming, discovery, chat-ready rooms, creator pages, gifts, goals, and safety tools into one place.

Who can use Sown TV?+

Viewers can browse and watch streams. Creators can sign up, create a channel, and use Creator Studio to go live and manage their community.

Can creators set their own rules?+

Yes. Stream Manager includes live community rules. A creator can write expectations for chat before going live so viewers understand how to behave in that room.

How do gifts work?+

Gifts let viewers support creators during streams. The creator dashboard includes a Gifts & Earnings area for tracking gift activity, wallet information, and supporter engagement.

What is Creator Pro?+

Creator Pro is the monetization path for creators who meet audience and support thresholds. It is designed to reward real community growth while keeping safety and trust in place.

Is Sown TV only for Kenya?+

Sown TV is built with Kenya and East Africa at heart, but the product is made for African creators and audiences everywhere.

How does Sown TV handle safety?+

Sown TV has platform rules for banned content, enforcement, and conduct. Creators can also set stricter room rules for their own live communities.

Can I use my phone as a camera?+

Yes. Stream Manager can generate a phone camera join link so a mobile device can publish into the same live room.

How do I contact Sown TV support?+

Use the Support Center contact form for account help, creator support, partnerships, payments, business ads, and technical issues. Give clear details so the team can respond faster.

How do I report spam, scams, or abuse?+

Use the violation and spam report form in the Support Center. Include the channel handle, stream link, message, receipt, screenshot context, or any detail that helps review the issue.

Can I appeal a strike, suspension, payout hold, or ad rejection?+

Yes. Use the appeal form with your decision ID, account handle, what happened, and why the decision should be reviewed. Appeals are clearer when you include evidence and a calm explanation.

Do businesses get support too?+

Yes. Businesses can contact Sown TV for campaign setup, ad review, placement questions, billing support, and brand safety concerns.

What happens after I submit a support form?+

Your request is saved with a request ID and routed by type. Safety reports and payment-risk issues can be prioritized because they may affect creators, viewers, or platform trust.

Can Sown TV remove content or limit accounts?+

Yes. If activity violates platform rules, payment rules, law, or community safety, Sown TV may remove content, restrict tools, review payouts, pause ads, suspend accounts, or request more information.

How should creators handle community rules?+

Creators should write room rules that are simple, visible, and fair. Good rules explain what viewers can expect, what behavior is not allowed, and how moderators will act during the stream.
